Sevelamer HCL is a Phosphate binding drug. Sevelamer is indicated to control the serum Phosphorous levels in patients suffering with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) on dialysis. Sevelamer is crossed linked polymer with many amines group (positive charged) which interacts with negatively charged phosphate molecule in the intestine, and are finally excreted from the body through feces
