Acebrophylline is a Mucolytic – Bronchodilator used for the treatment of Chronic Obsrtuctive Pulmonary Diorders ( COPD). Acebrophylline act like a airway mucus regulator with Anti-Inflammatory action. Acebrophylline contains Ambroxol, that facilitates the biosynthesis of pulmonary surfactant which cause lowering of surface tension of mucus and thus allow easy spread and release of mucus.
